FAQ-SALTY LUXE MEXICO RETREAT

* Is there a starting time for the trip?

Resort check-in time begins from 4pm on 26th November, however early arrivals can come to the property any time after 11am on arrival day. You can leave your luggage at reception and enjoy the Beach Club facilities while you wait for your room to be ready.

We suggest arranging a flight that lands before 4:30pm, and if you land after this time you may consider arriving a day earlier and staying in a nearby town to start unwinding a little earlier.

* Can I arrive early or stay on after the trip ends?

Yes of course you can! However since the resort is booked for exclusive group retreats, there may not be the option to extend your stay at our particular accomodation ‘La Joya Sayulita’. We would be happy to suggest some other possibilities if you wanted to stay in the region for extra time.

* Which airport do I fly in to and will there be someone waiting at the airport?

You will fly into Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) and yes, we will arrange a driver to meet you at the airport and transfer you straight to the property in an SUV (Suburban or similar). Transfers are included in your package on arrival & departure days.

* Do I need to arrange a Visa?

If you are from Australia, USA, Canada, UK and most of Europe (travelling to Mexico for less than 180 days) then currently you are exempt from needing a visa. Some countries may need a tourist visa and you should check your local Immigration website and the Mexican Embassy website for more details.

* Do I need travel insurance to book?

Yes, we require all guests to have travel insurance for the duration of the retreat with adequate level of cover. In the event of any unforeseen force majeure situations that mean we cannot run the trip, we want to be sure that all our guests will be covered through their own cover.

* What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel 90 days or more before your retreat commencement date, you will be offered a partial refund (excluding the non-refundable deposit and any non-refundable monies paid to a third party supplier). If you cancel 90 days or less before your retreat commencement date, you will forfeit your entire payment.

We recommend you take out an appropriate travel insurance policy as soon as your booking is confirmed to cover you in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

* What is the COVID policy?

If you are unable to travel or attend the retreat because of any COVID-19 reasons (border closures, restrictions, testing positive, etc) then you will need to cancel your booking. This is why we recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance including cover for COVID.

* Is there a payment plan?

A non-refundable deposit of US$500 is due at time of booking to secure your place, with the remainder due 90 days before the retreat commencement date. If you wish to arrange a payment plan then let us know via email (saltyluxe@outlook.com) and we can discuss this option.

* Will I need extra spending money?

The trip is almost entirely inclusive, however we would suggest to bring some extra money for any alcoholic drinks (approx. US$10-$25 per drink at the property), resort staff gratuities (approx. US$25pp per day) and our meal at San Pancho (approx. US$20). Other extra activities you may consider include onsite massages (approx US$50), golf carts (approx. US$50 per day), additional excursions, or transfers to Sayulita town. We are happy to help for any budgeting you need.

* How close to Sayulita town is the resort?

La Joya is located approximately 20 minutes walk from Sayulita town, on the beach Playa Carricitos. You can take the jungle walk into town or hire a golf buggy during your stay!

* What happens on the last day?

On the last morning we will serve our last meal for breakfast and say our goodbyes, with a checkout time of 11am from the hotel. We suggest planning your departure flight for after 11am (if possible) if you are taking a flight home or onwards for further travels.
